Over the Christmas holidays our water heater failed, 11:30 PM on a Saturday night. I really didn't know who to call and opened the phone book. Considering you had a two-page ad, I figured you had to be serious about your work and reputation. I wish I could tell you I had heard all kinds of good things about Pafumi, but the reality is all I saw was your advertisement. I called at 11:30 PM and within 15 minutes Lee Schuck called me back. By midnight, we had set a time, Sunday morning, 9:00 AM, when he would contact me and give me a cost for replacing my water heater. At 9:00 AM Sunday morning, Lee contacted me, gave me my cost and was on his way, along with his helper Les.

They arrived around 10:45 AM and by 12:30 PM our water heater had been replaced and they had removed our old one. We were only without hot water for 12 hours and most of it was during the night. My family's largest hardship was having to use cold water to get ready for church.

Mr. Pafumi, I want you to know that this was the best service call from any provider I have used over the years. Lee was polite, respectful and has a great sense of humor. He made this unfortunate occasion more bearable and less stressful. This experience could have been devastating, but by the grace of God we caught the leak before it ruined our basement and we found a new friend in the Pafumi business.

Please pass along our sincere thanks, again, to Lee and Les; they make a good team. I had meant to write sooner; however, this has been the first opportunity I have had the time to write something longer than just a few lines.

I wanted to take a minute to tell you what a wonderful experience I had in dealing with your company recently.

A few months ago I started the process of changing over from oil to gas heat. The change-over turned out to be more complex than I was expecting. One of the steps was, of course, finding a plumber. Not knowing any plumbers, I opened the phone book and started making calls. After a few retrun calls, I made my decision. I am so thankful that I went with Pafumi. My first encounter was with Lee. He came to the house and looked at the job. We talked about what was entailed and what I needed to do before the plumbing work was started. He was very helpful and informative. I bombarded him with countless questions during the entire process, which he answered with great patience. John and Don came to install the pipe, etc. They were very efficient, polite and worked very quickly and neatly. After they finished the installation, I had the township come to inspect. There must have been a leak, and before I could blink, Lee had John out to take care of it. Needless to say, John fixed it in minutes and the township came back out to inspect. When I had the gas company out to do the hook-up, of course, more problems. I called Lee and, without hesitation, he took care of everything despite the fact that it wasn't a plumbing issue, and that evening I finally had heat!

I want you to know what amazing employees you have, right down to Esther in the office. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and should be commended on a job well done! Again, thank you.

I just wanted to say what a pleasant experience it was working with your company and your service technician, Michael J. Hess. Together, you turned a very unpleasant situation into a very manageable one.

Late yesterday I came home from a long trip to North Carolina to find my pipes had frozen and burst over the weekend. Despite every yellow page ad in the phone book promising 24/7 emergency service - your company is the only one that delivered on that promise. Your customer service reps assured me a technician would be able to assist me same day - even though I did not call for assistance until nearly 4:00 PM. Michael Hess showed up, walked me through the situation I had, and delivered great advice and service. The job was not "easy" by any stretch of the imagination - especially given the location of my pipes and the weather conditions (my pipes are located in an outside unit, so he had to work in freezing conditions and in a very small space). Michael worked diligently for hours to repair my pipes and made sure the job was done right. He also advised me on what to do about my water meter - which was frozen and split as well. In the end, water was once again flowing in my home - in a matter of six hours. Not bad given all the other companies I called couldn't even get a service technician out to me within 48 hours of my call.

Again, I just wanted to let you know what a great experience I had working with your company and in particular your service technician Michael Hess. I look forward to using your company again (hopefully for non-emergency jobs!) and will recommend you to my family and friends. Please feel free to use this note as a testimonial as well.

We have been enjoying the fruits of your company's labor and felt we had to express our appreciation to you and your men for a job well done. We approached this project with hesitation. Would we "old" folks be able to handle these changes without getting ourselves upset?

We approached Pafumi Plumbing to do this work based on the high recommendation from Dave Roberts and his wife. Their recommendation was very true.

My wife explained to Lee what we wanted in the new room. He worked up and suggested what he felt would satisfy our desires. Lee and his men started on his proposed start date and, amazing to us, he finished on the date he said he'd be done.

Lee exhibited such confidence and professional expertise in the different phases of the work, be it plumbing, carpentry or whatever, even to his decorating skills.

In all it was a far more pleasant experience than we ever anticipated. The workmen were all respectful and most obliging. A high point was to see the Pafumi brothers, Joseph and John, show up on the job and pitch in. Such interest is unusual.

This letter of commendation is well overdue. Back in April I met with your employee, Lee, to get a bid on plumbing needs and a bid on my plans for an updated bath and kitchen.

I was impressed immediately by his professionalism, knowledge and willingness to help. That impression followed with every employee that subsequently came through my door. They were each neatly groomed and in the logo uniform shirts. That touch goes far to instill confidence in their abilities and honest assistance.

With Lee as their leader, they were given access to my home in my absence and I was thrilled to come home always to a clean work area.

I was trying to do a large project on a small budget and was grateful that you honored the coupon in the yellow pages without hesitation.

Joe, I have meant to call you personally to express my appreciation as we spoke early in my project and I felt that you took a genuine interest. I felt, however, that a letter might better state my observations. Because of the extent of the undertaking, I have had various [undercipherable] on site. None can compare to the faith I have in your company, Lee and your employees. In fact, there are horror stories!

Approximately one month ago I had an unexpected, middle of the night flood when a water main broke. This resulted in a 3½- to 4-inch river of water in my first-floor townhouse.
